RC Design Studio is a full service design firm, doing renovations & interiors. RC Design Studio is Rebekah Cholak and I work in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
I have a Masters in Interior Architecture and a BFA in Acting from New York University. My love and experience in theater translates directly to interiors for me. It's all about telling a story. I love how so many elements ( in theatre and in ones home) come together to influence the story and how each person is affected differently. I believe our spaces are important to the ongoing story of our everyday life, all my choices are informed by that thought in some manner. Our homes are the interactive set with which the stories of our lives play out, the flow, details, color, light and all, influence that story.
Hallmarks of my work would be attention to detail and craft, prioritizing function while creating livable, modern, stylish, and innovative spaces. I work collaboratively with my clients, builders and craftspeople to meet my client's personality, desires, budget and schedule, while exceeding your expectations. I approach each client and design issue as new and unique, each project has a different style, scope and budget. I like to work with a clear concept to help shape all decisions from concept to detail, creating a clarity of design. Sustainability is incorporated however possible, from materials to building practices. I consider all aspects of your project: from your design tastes, required functionality, and budget to the property's quirks and your city's codes. I can work with you every step of the way, from concept to completion, to create your dream home, room or business.

My experience started at large firms focused on "dot com" corporate interiors. From there I started &design in 2005, working primarily on residential interiors. RC design studio is a renaming of &design.
